Building Bildung

Schulen sind Orte zur Auseinandersetzung mit der Gesellschaft und vermitteln Wissen und Erwartungen – im besten Sinn bilden sie. Die Beschäftigung mit unseren Lebensräumen gewinnt an Bedeutung, doch spielt Baukultur weder in der kulturellen Bildung noch in der schulischen Ausbildung eine wichtige Rolle. Wie sollen Fragen nach unserem Zusammenleben Antworten finden, wenn sie nicht thematisiert werden? Wie soll eine Bauwende gelingen, wenn sie nicht unterstützt wird? Für Baukultur NRW ist die Bildung zu und die Verhandlung von aktuellen Themen des Bauens und Umbauens von zentraler Bedeutung. Baukulturelle Bildung (und Vermittlung) umfasst die Auseinandersetzung mit gebauter Umwelt und den Auftrag zur Gestaltung eines nachhaltigen Bauens. Sie ist Basis für eine zukünftig positiv besetzte Baukultur.
