Zukunft – Kirchen – Räume

Baukultur NRW begleitete mit seinem Projekt „Zukunft – Kirchen – Räume“ mehr als zwei Jahre den Umgang mit Kirchen in NRW. Die aktive Begleitung hin zu einer neuen Nutzung hat im Jahr 2022 ihren Abschluss gefunden. Weiterhin online ist die Website zukunft-kirchen-raeume.de, die fortlaufend aktualisiert wird. Dort stellt Baukultur NRW seit dem Jahr 2023 umgenutzte Kirchen vor und gibt Anregungen und Informationen, um Kirchen wieder wertzuschätzen, sie neu zu denken und umzugestalten – mit rechtlichen Hilfen, Prozessberichten und Beispielen zum Umbau. Außerdem engagiert sich Baukultur NRW in einem Bündnis aus Baukultur, Forschung und Stiftungswesen für den Erhalt von Kirchen, das ein Manifest veröffentlicht hat, das große Resonanz erzeugt hat.
